Tom Lynd – Ward 3

Tom Lynd was appointed in June, 2011, to replace the late Jim Champlin and subsequently elected in November 2011 to represent the 3rd Ward on the Reading City Council. Tom and his wife, Diane Buckley Lynd have lived in the City of Reading most of their lives. They have two daughters: Faith and Maria (Mia), who currently attend Mt. Notre Dame High School.

Tom attended Sts. Peter & Paul Elementary School and Moeller High School where he was active in Student Government and ran Cross Country. After Moeller High School, he attended and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Tom is presently employed as a Probation Officer for Hamilton County Juvenile Court.

Tom’s volunteer experience with the Reading community includes softball / basketball coach for V.Y.O. and a softball coach at Sts. Peter and Paul. He is also an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish where he is a lector and serves on the marriage ministry team.
