PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that the city of Reading is giving stakeholders the opportunity to provide feedback on the repurposing of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds set aside for the City. The city of Reading is repurposing a portion of its 2020 CDBG funding. Originally intended to be set aside for the construction of a new park restroom, the funding is now being repurposed to upgrade the existing restroom at Koenig Park (located at 520 W. Columbia Avenue, Reading, OH 45215) and for the paving of Benson Street (from Jefferson Avenue to the I-75 bridge and overpass). The project is being repurposed because the original project is in a FEMA floodplain, which makes it ineligible for CDBG funding. The CDBG program is designed to benefit low to moderate income neighborhoods.

Comments, questions, and recommendations can be received online through our website or email. Comments can be emailed to pross@readingohio.org.
