Water Department
Residents and businesses receive a combined water, sewage, and garbage bill quarterly. Larger users are billed monthly. Bills can be either mailed, paid at the Reading Municipal Building, or there is a night depository at the Municipal Building located at the north corner of the parking lot at Market and Pike St. We accept cash, check, money orders, credit card, or you can set up for ACH payment (Call the office to receive the paperwork to have the ACH payments taken directly out of your checking account). There is a 10 percent late charge on bills.
To pay by Credit Card, you may call 1-800-272-9829 or go to www.officialpayments.com. The Jurisdiction Code is 8416. Your pin was put on your most recent water bill starting with the May, June, July of 2010 Billing. You may call us at city hall to get your pin. There is a $6.40 fee to use credit cards.
