Reading Police Department


The Reading Police Department operates a full-service department 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To contact the Reading Police Department, call 911 for emergencies or 513-733-4122 for non-emergencies.

The department has 21 full-time officers, 3 full-time dispatchers and a court clerk who respond to the safety needs of residents and business owners in the community. These committed individuals respond to 12,000 calls for service annually.

Reading Police also participate in a number of programs, including:

Hamilton County Police Assoc. SWAT Team
Hamilton County Arson Taskforce
Computerized Firearms Training System
Third Grade Seatbelt Program
Traffic Safety Enforcement Programs

Based on the Uniform Crime Report, the city of Reading boasts one of the lowest crime rates for a city its size in the United States.
