The City of Reading Ohio is Looking For a Full-Time Full-time Clerk of Courts

Prepares, balances, and maintains cases and dockets for court. Prepares financial statements/reports for the Supreme Court, Treasurer, Auditor, Police Chief, Mayor, and City Council. Collects fines, fees, and distributes to appropriate entries. Prepares warrants, commits, and discharge incarceration paperwork per court orders. Liaison between magistrate, prosecutor, attorneys, interpreters. Assesses points and dispositions to BMV. Aids defendants. Processes all motions, appeals and transfers. Prepares transcripts and RCIC disposition entries. Maintains records on all DIP, CHIP, Community Service, ALS, NRVC, license forfeitures, releases, and subpoenas. Prepares yearly court calendar. Performs all duties in compliance with the established rules of the Supreme Court Rules of Procedure, the City of Reading Police Department, and the City of Reading. Attends meetings, seminars, training programs, conferences, and other related events.
The City of Reading Civil Service Commission is testing to fill a full-time position for the Clerk of Courts. A written examination will be held on Saturday March 11th., 2023 at 9:00 am. The test will be held at the City of Reading Municipal Building located at 1000 Market Street, Reading, Ohio 45215, Second Floor Council Chambers.
A valid driver’s license must be presented on the day of the testing to sit for the examination.Applications are available online at the following link APPLICATION or in person at the City of Reading General Offices located on the Second Floor of the City of Reading Municipal Building, 1000 Market St, Reading, Ohio 45215. Monday- Friday 8:30am- 4:00pm.
Applications must be filed and time stamped with the city clerk on or before March 3rd., 2023 at 4:00pm. located on the Second Floor of the City of Reading Municipal Building, 1000 Market Street, Reading, Oh 45215.

The salary range is $26.91 - $31.35 / hour.
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
No evenings, weekends, holidays. Some overtime
